Microsoft Surface Pro 4 review

There are not been much of changes in terms of design but there are definitely some added advantages which Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has to offer in comparison to surface pro 3. The former is thinner and lighter as compared to the latter. Surface pro 4 is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 766 gram whereas surface pro 4 had a thickness of 9.1 mm and weighed 800 grams. There is a magnetic connector at the base of surface pro 4 where you can attach surface type keyboard. At the left-hand side on the top there is a 3.5 mm jack, a volume controller and at the top, there is a power button. On the right-hand side there is a mini display port and towards the base, you will find a power port. There are vents for cooling all around the surface pro 4.

The cover of surface pro 4 is made up of silver metal with windows logo in the middle. Major improvement from surface pro 3 to surface pro 4 is the keyboard. The chiclet keyboard is given in surface pro 4 which is much more spacious as compared to the closely spaced keyboard of surface pro 3.  The trackpad is larger and rectangular. It adapts various actions like two finger scrolling, zoom with the pinch, so on and so forth.

The surface pen looks like any other pen and it can be easily carried in pockets too. It comes in as many as four colors giving options to the customers. The pen can be attached to one edge of the pro 4 as it comes with a magnetic strip. It can be connected to pro 4 via Bluetooth and weighs around 20 grams. Having said that the surface pen is a bit slow in terms of response, it has to be bought separately as an accessory.

It is a Microsoft product; hence it runs on windows 10 operating system. The feature of Windows Hello is an added one which lets yourloginto your device using the technology of facial recognition. It is a great device for office work and there is no slowdown even in multitasking, however, it is an expensive device. It’s pricing starts from 89,900 and surface type keyboard and surface pen has to be bought separately which will cost you at around 12,499 and 8,896 respectively. It is undoubtedly laptop replacement but the cost as compared to its features and design is on the higher end, but if that isn’t a problem to you then it is an investment worth making.
